March 09, 2026 - Everett, WA

Random assortment of batteries

When batteries end up in the trash, they can cause fires, chemical leaks, and harm to our environment and residents. Here's where you can drop them off for safe recycling.

Single-Use Batteries

According to Battery Network, there's only one location within the city limits accepting single-use batteries: Staples on Evergreen Way. Before you drop them off, give them a call at 425-258-2017.

Rechargeable Batteries

When we say "rechargeable", there's an important catch: we're talking about low-capacity batteries, like rechargeable versions of AA, AAA, and other small batteries. High-energy batteries, like lithium power drill batteries, may not be accepted.
